After a long period of experimentation, Joan, Bernadette, Toni and Sisca decided to create this familiar winery in a small farm in Ciutadella. Their passion for wine and their interest in recovering the winemaking tradition in Menorca led them to start experimenting with the vineyard at Joan’s familiar farm in 2002. In 2007, once the technique was perfected, Binitord Vineyards was born, with a line of high-end Mediterranean wines: red, white, rosé and vermouth made in search of the equilibrium between tradition and avant-garde.
Their commitment to sustainable winemaking brought them to join the Land Stewardship over 10 years ago, and the integrated production using organic fertilizer. Clara, the generational successor of this small promoting group, has taken the lead in continuing to implement improvements towards organic production.
