Binissuès
Binissuès preserves and displays the values that helped Menorca become a Biosphere Reserve. Its tradition, culture, history and natural richness are gathered within the walls of this 18th century architectural complex of the Salort family, encompassing a stately home, a farmhouse, an ethnological collection and the Museum of Natural Sciences of Menorca, a spectacular collection of over 8,000 different species from the island and from around the world.
Its location and live performances offer a journey into the past to know how people lived and worked in Menorca, the traditional elaborations, field utensils, rural practices… But not only in the past, since visitors discover that all this cultural heritage is still preserved on the island, and the cheese is made as in the past, the Menorcan wooden barriers are made every day and that the trade of paredador is still practiced. Local cuisine and tours to observe the night sky complete this experience of reliving Menorca in one day.
