The Seth Agamenón Hotel is located in the small town of Es Castell, on the southern side of the natural harbour of Maó. Its privileged views of the Illa del Rei islet, one of the most emblematic and historic sites from Menorcan history, bring 13th-century visions of King Alfonso III disembarking here, or perhaps of the many battles that brought countless soldiers to require care at the military hospital that, built under English rule, still stands on the islet just opposite the hotel.

The history of the Agamenón has tight links with the Mercadal family, the Menorcan family at the helm of the Seth Hotels chain, whose establishments are now all holders of the Menorca Biosphere Reserve brand certification, thanks to the diligent environmental commitment prioritised in their business policy, with an ambitious sustainable development plan applied to all of their accommodations.
