The Seth Mahón hotel, with privileged views over the port of Maó, stands out for its red and white façade that maintains the aesthetic of a colonial building, a legacy from the British period in Menorca. In 1995 it became the first hotel from the chain Set Hotels, and today has an ambitious sustainable development plan.
Behind the Set Hotels company is the Mercadal family, a Menorcan family that has shown an environmental commitment to the conservation of the island since the creation of the company. They believe that tourists visiting Menorca should know its condition as a biosphere reserve, its gastronomy and local culture, and the importance of taking care of it.
The Seth Port Mahón hotel follows sustainable policies such as the implementation of measures for energy efficiency, saving water resources, reducing the generation of single-use plastic waste with the ‘zero plastic’ objective, and even has a small exhibition of handicrafts and local products among its decorations.
“The Seth Mahón hotel was the first hotel of the Menorcan company Set Hotels, in 1995, and since then we have been committed in making tourist activities compatible with the quality and sustainability of our destination.”
