Today, the ARTIEM hotel chain has five hotels, three of which are in Menorca, where its origins and headquarters are also located, which gives the company a natural and Mediterranean identity. The Capri hotel, in the centre of Maó, was the first ARTIEM accommodation, created in 1975. Since then, the chain has not stop growing and has decided to do so by betting firmly on sustainability as “the harmony between its three pillars: the social, the environmental and the economic”.

Guiem Sintes, director of Quality and Environment of the chain, states that “sustainability is an unstoppable path and we must see it as an opportunity”. Thus, the company develops different projects to limit its energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint. Highlights to its goal “ARTIEM Sustainability 8/80” that consists on reducing in 8 years the 80% of its CO2 emissions.

ARTIEM is the first hotel chain in Europe and third in the world to obtain the BCorp certification for its high standards in social and environmental performance, transparency and corporate responsibility.
