A Seat 600 and a Renault 4-4 were the first two vehicles that Antonio Carreras purchased for rental to guests of the emblematic Hotel Port Mahón in 1961. Sixty years later, Autos Menorca is the oldest and most renowned car rental company on the island. Heading up the project, still today run by the founding family, is Toni Masferrer, who preserves the same simple idea with which it all began: “To provide a service that helps visitors discover the island problem-free; and if any should arise, to be there”.
To make this possible, the Autos Menorca fleet is kept in perfect condition at their modern installations in the industrial park of Maó, which is operated with a focus on energy efficiency and reduced impact through use of solar panels and car wash tunnels that implement water decantation and reutilisation. Their number of hybrid and electric cars is being gradually increased within the framework of this project, and aims in the near future to have a 100% electric fleet.
