The Algaiarens farm, along with the Son Felip farm, both in Ciutadella, apply ecological and regenerative agricultural techniques. Their goal is to halt desertification and rehabilitate the landscape while obtaining higher quality, healthier and more nutritious products, such as ecological meat from the Menorquina cattle breed produced on the Algaiarens farm. A project that aims to create a sustainable management model that can be exported to other Menorcan farms to become an example for change on the island, in the Mediterranean and around the world.

Son Felip and Algaiarens are setting the bar by applying systems based on efficient and sustainable energy usage, like permaculture for improved energy savings, or keyline, a technique that retains and distributes rainwater and helps slow erosion.
